The article deals with the typological analysis of adjective declination with the special focus on the number of grammatical categories, paradigm units, productivity, syncretism, congruence and morphophonological and/or morphophonetic parameters. Polyconfrontative comparison involves three genetically non-related languages: German, Polish and Latvian. Results of the analysis will be applied to methodology of foreign language teaching.
