Wsparcie integracji poziomej w rolnictwie, poprzez tworzenie grup producentów rolnych, może przyczynić się do przyśpieszenia procesu modernizacji polskiego rolnictwa i podniesienia jego konkurencyjności. Celem prowadzonych badań było poznanie stanu i uwarunkowań mających wpływ na funkcjonowanie grup producentów rolnych w województwie warmińsko-mazurskim w latach 2000-2017. W ramach prowadzonych badań dokonano analizy danych dotyczących charakterystyki grup, w tym zdefiniowano kierunki specjalizacji, zakres działania, skład osobowy, formy prawne, a także wysokość uzyskanej pomocy finansowej z PROW dla grup funkcjonujących w 2004-2017. W artykule wykorzystano informacje zawarte w aktach prawnych, literaturze przedmiotu, a także dane wtórne ARiMR, Krajowego Ośrodka Wsparcia Rolnictwa (KOWR) oraz Urzędu Marszałkowskiego w Olsztynie.

Support of vertical integration through creation of APG, may help to accelerate process of modernization of Polish agriculture and improve its competitiveness. The man aim of research was to recognize state and conditions that have influence on functioning of APG. As part of the conducted research, a detailed analysis of data on group characteristics was made, including definition of trends in specialization, branches, operating range, personnel,business entity form as well as the amount and scope of financial assistance received from RDP for groups operating in the years 2004-2017. Article also uses information from legal acts, literature on the subject as well as secondary data from ARiMR, National Office of Agricultural Support (KOWR) and Marshal’s Office in Olsztyn, According to the data gathered during research in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, most common were cooperatives among producers of poultry and oil plants.
