The article presents the results of research on the convictions of students about homework in early education. Beliefs are an important component of future teachers’ personal knowledge, because they can determine their way of working with students. The students replied to questions about the functions of homework (shaping students’ self-reliance, self-education, motivate to learning and creative attitudes). Hierarchical cluster analysis allowed to isolate clusters of 4 +groups of students with similar beliefs about homework.

Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań dotyczących przekonań studentów na temat prac domowych uczniów klas początkowych. Przekonania są ważnym składnikiem wiedzy osobistej przyszłych nauczycieli, które mogą określać ich sposób pracy z uczniami. Badani studenci ustosunkowywali się do stwierdzeń na temat funkcji, jakie ma spełniać praca domowa (kształtowania samodzielności uczniów, wdrażania ich do samokształcenia, motywowania do nauki oraz kształtowania postaw twórczych). Hierarchiczna analiza skupień pozwoliła na wyodrębnienie 4 grup skupień studentów o podobnych przekonaniach na temat pracy domowej.
