Wiejskie organizacje pozarządowe w Polsce w czasie pandemii COVID-19

This article describes the scope and scale of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the activities and selected structural features of social organizations operating in rural areas in Poland. The analytical background of the study is a research conducted in 2021 on a sample of three hundred and thirty-three rural non-governmental organ-izations. There has been noted a negative and positive impact of the pandemic on the activities of rural non-governmental organizations. The negative phenomena include a significant slowdown in the carrying out current tasks, abandonment of project implementation, as well as the outflow of volunteers and active members. The grassroots activities of the rural third sector during the pandemic have also resulted in noticeable positive phenomena: widening of the field of organizations’ activity to new dimensions, expanding the cooperation network of rural organizations, and a significant increase in the appreciation for civic activ-ity due to fast and flexible delivery of self-help actions.

W niniejszym artykule opisano zakres i skalę wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na działalność oraz wybrane cechy strukturalne organizacji społecznych działających na terenach wiejskich w Polsce. Podłożem analitycznym opracowania są badania zrealizowane w 2021 roku na próbie trzystu trzydziestu trzech wiejskich organizacji pozarządowych. Odnotowano negatywny i pozytywny wpływ pandemii na działalność wiejskich organizacji pozarządowych. Do zjawisk negatywnych należy zaliczyć znaczne wyhamowanie dotychczasowych zadań, porzucenie realizacji projektów, odpływ wolontariuszy oraz aktywnych członków. Oddolnie organizowana aktywność wiejskiego trzeciego sektora w czasie pandemii przyniosła również zauważalne zjawiska pozytywne: poszerzenie pola aktywności organizacji o nowe wymiary, rozbudowę sieci współpracy wiejskich organizacji, a także istotny wzrost aprecjacji aktywności obywatelskiej jako skutek szybkości i elastyczności działań samopomocowych.
