Punktem wyjścia programu badawczego francuskiej szkoły regulacji jest powojenny dynamiczny i trwały wzrost gospodarczy oparty na specyficznym fordowskim systemie. Od dekompozycji tego systemu celem szkoły jest między innymi sformalizowanie modelu, który stałby się następcą systemu fordowskiego. Zdaniem regulacjonistów perspektywa historyczna wskazuje, że zmiany w kapitale ludzkim, wynikające z antropogenezy człowieka, generowane w sektorze opieki zdrowotnej i edukacji, mogą stać się podstawą oryginalnego modelu długotrwałego rozwój społeczno- gospodarczego.

The starting point of the French Regulation School research is post-war dynamic and sustained economic growth based on a specific fordist system. Since the decomposition of fordism, the aim of the school has been the formalization of the alternative regime, which could become the successor of this system. According to the Regulation School the historical perspective suggests that changes in the human capital resulting from human anthropogenesis, generated in the sector of healthcare and education, can become the basis of long-term socio-economic development.
