This article presents the role and meaning of language and interpersonal communication. The author describes three aspects of language: physical, physiological and psychological/ social, and outlines three functions of language and the ways in which these functions are applied in various aspects of cognition. The author also makes several notes criticising publications whose content differs from the actual state of a given language – in this case German.
