Problemy związane z nauczaniem języka polskiego Wietnamczyków to temat wciąż otwarty dla lektorów uczących obywateli tej narodowości. Język wietnamski, określany jako tonalny i analityczny, jest zasadniczo różny od polskiego. Zestawienie języka wietnamskiego z polskim wykazuje rozbieżności na każdej płaszczyźnie systemu gramatycznego obu języków. Stąd też, ze względu na odmienność struktury języka studenci wietnamscy w trakcie przyswajania języka polskiego popełniali i popełniają błędy fonetyczne, gramatyczne, leksykalne i semantyczne. W niniejszej pracy przedstawione zostały wybrane błędy gramatyczne, które jakkolwiek nie zakłócają toku wypowiedzi, tzn. nie czynią jej niezrozumiałej, powinny jednak być wyeliminowane.

This article shows the principle of teaching the verb aspect in Polish by means of examples taken from other Slavonic languages. It presents the differences among verb aspects found in Polish, Czech, Slovak and Slovenian. The illustrative examples also document the final numer of mistakes made by foreign students whose first languages miss the right equivalent of the verb aspect. Special attention has been paid to the importance of teaching the verbal aspect in classes of language for specific purposes.

W artykule podjęto problematykę nauczania aspektu czasownika na gruncie słowiańskim. Zaprezentowano różnice, dotyczące tej kategorii językowej, w językach polskim, czeskim, słowackim i słoweńskim, a następnie pokazano wynikające z tego problemy w przyswajaniu tej kategorii przez Czechów, Słowaków i Słoweńców. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na aspekt w nauczaniu języków specjalistycznych.

The article presents idea of Ronald Langacker, co-founder of cognitive linguistics, about the nature of perfective and imperfective verbs. The researcher is of the opinion that the perfective verbs profile the process having a clear outline of the time. There is a change in the action described by perfective verbs and therefore these verbs are in the form inhomogeneous. Imperfec¬tive verbs are different. They profile stable situations the duration of which is indefinite in the immediate scope. Langacker compares perfective and imperfective verbs to countable and uncoun¬table nouns. He also claims that there is no feature that makes verbs as perfective or imperfective in advance. The author of the article analyzes selected sentences of The Tooti Nameh in translation of Wanda Markowska and Anna Milska.

The article concerns the testing of the level of mastery of the Polish verb aspect in state certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign language at the B1 level (adjusted to the needs of adults). All the tasks (from the years 2009 – 2020) devoted to the discussed grammatical category were analysed. The collected observations were compared with the conclusions drawn from the research on aspect based on Polish-German and German-Polish translation. By taking into account the perspective of cognitive semantics, this research allowed the description of the repertoire of exponents of aspectual meanings in non-aspect language, and consequently led to new findings in the field of the so-called contexts of the use of perfective and imperfective verbs in Polish – findings particularly important from the point of view of teaching Polish as a foreign language.

Artykuł dotyczy sposobu sprawdzania stopnia opanowania zagadnienia aspektu polskiego czasownika przez zdających państwowe egzaminy certyfikatowe z języka polskiego jako obcego na poziomie B1 (w grupie dostosowanej do potrzeb osób dorosłych). Analizie poddano wszystkie zadania poświęcone omawianej kategorii gramatycznej wykorzystane na egzaminach certyfikatowych w latach 2009–2020. Zebrane obserwacje zestawiono z wnioskami płynącymi z opartych na tłumaczeniu polsko-niemieckim i niemiecko-polskim badań nad aspektem. Dzięki uwzględnieniu perspektywy semantyki kognitywnej badania te pozwoliły na opisanie repertuaru wykładników znaczeń aspektowych w języku bezaspektowym, a w konsekwencji doprowadziły także do nowych, szczególnie istotnych z punktu widzenia glottodydaktyki polonistycznej, ustaleń w zakresie tzw. kontekstów użycia czasowników dokonanych i niedokonanych w języku polskim.

Verbal Aspect and Legal Interpretation: the Use of Verbal Aspect in the Polish Penal Code

The paper analyzes the central verbal categories: tense and aspect in Polish Penal Code of 1997 against the background of other codes in Polish, the current Russian, Czech and other Slavic penal codes as well as the codes of Austrian and German Empires in its Slavic translations. The Polish legal order has not developed any binding instruction on how to interpret grammatical categories, so the question of its correct interpretation constitutes a challenge in the application of law. Verbal aspect, as well as grammatical gender or number, belongs to the most dangerous grammatical categories in the legal use because of the difference between the common sense and its legal meaning.
