The paper presents theoretical considerations on the role of dialogue in ICC development and assessment and the model for ICC assessment as a practical application. It is argued here that the application of the idea of dialogue in a Bakhtinian sense may constitute a theoretical framework for ICC assessment since this kind of dialogue involves the presentation of a variety of opinions or ideas. The model for ICC assessment, as it was developed for the purpose of the author’s unpublished PhD dissertation, is presented in this paper. The model includes various types of tests that can be incorporated into ICC evaluation. The final part of the discussion attempts at showing the points of convergence between DA approach and the dialogic approach to ICC assessment.

The aim of the study was to determine young consumer preferences (20–30 years old) for the purchase and consumption of coffee and green tea. The research included issues such as the frequency of consumption of coffee and tea, the type of coffee and tea, used additives, consumption and purchase factors. The consumer assessment of ground and bean coffee and green tea leaves and tea-bags infusions has been conducted. The consumers evaluated factors as taste, smell, color and overall desirability. It has been shown that the majority of respondents drink coffee at least once a day and is ground coffee. The most important factor influencing the purchase of coffee and green tea is sensory properties. Consumer assessment showed that the preferred form of coffee infusion is coffee prepared from bean. More acceptable tea infusion is tea prepared from leaves than from the tea-bags.
