Dynamiczne zapotrzebowanie na przewozy drogowe różnego rodzaju towarów spowodowało gwałtowny wzrost liczby przedsiębiorstw eksploatujących różnego rodzaju pojazdy samochodowe. W praktyce spotykamy przedsiębiorstwa prywatne, państwowe, spółdzielcze eksploatujące co najmniej 5 pojazdów mechanicznych zwane flotami samochodowymi. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie nowoczesnych metod zarządzania flotami pojazdów samochodowych ciężarowych i dostaw-czych. Stawiamy tutaj tezę, ze ciężarówki są dostępne praktycznie na bieżąco. W artykule opisujemy nowoczesne metody zarządzania takie jak: komputery pokładowe, ogumienie, GPS, assistance, karty paliwowe, systemy rozliczeń finansowych. Zwracamy uwagę na ubezpieczenia towarzyszące flotom samochodowym

A dynamic demand for road carriage of a variety of goods has prompted a rapid increase in the number of businesses operating a variety of different motor cars. These are most often private, state-owned or cooperative enterprises operating at least 5 motor cars (car fleets). The purpose of this article is to present modern management methods for commercial truck and van fleets. We argue that, for all practical purposes, trucks are available on a round the clock basis. The article describes advanced management methods and tools, such as on-board computers, tyres, GPS, assistance, fuel cards, or payment systems. We also address the issue of car fleet insurance.
