Article considers a problem of fatal accidents caused by autonomous vehicles (AV). Author also shows definition of autonomous vehicle, autonomous driving levels, polish legal definition of autonomous vehicle as well as legal issues in other countries and ethical problems related to autonomous car accidents.

Artykuł porusza tematykę odpowiedzialności za szkody wyrządzone ruchem pojazdu autonomicznego w kontekście roszczeń po śmierci osoby najbliższej. Autor przedstawia definicje pojazdu autonomicznego oraz tzw. poziomy autonomiczności. Przytoczono sposób uregulowania zagadnienia pojazdu autonomicznego w prawie polskim oraz w zagranicznym prawodawstwie. Wskazano problemy mogące powstać w przypadku wyrządzenia szkody przez pojazd autonomiczny oraz sposoby ich rozwiązania. W artykule poruszono również kwestie etyczne związane z ruchem pojazdu autonomicznego.
