Moralne aspekty małżeństwa sakramentalnego w świetle badań małżonków z Papui-Nowej Gwinei

In 2018, 393 people in eight parishes in the Diocese of Goroka, Papua New Guinea were surveyed using the questionnaire method. The conducted research took into account the impact of independent variables such as: sex, age, and place of residence and the fact of entering into a sacramental marriage. The research shows that a high percentage of respondents understand the moral requirements of sacramental marriage. They are more often understood by women, respondents over 51 years of age, living in the countryside and those who have entered into a sacramental marriage. The pastoral challenge in understanding the moral aspects of canonical marriage are men, people under the age of 31, and those spouses who have not yet entered into canonical marriage but are on their way to receive this sacrament in the Church.

W 2018 r. przy pomocy kwestionariusza ankiety przebadano w PapuiNowej Gwinei 393 osoby w ośmiu parafiach w diecezji Goroka. W przeprowadzanych badaniach uwzględniono u respondentów oddziaływanie zmiennych niezależnych, takich jak: płeć, wiek, miejsce zamieszkania oraz fakt zawarcia małżeństwa sakramentalnego. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że wysoki odsetek badanych rozumie wymogi moralne małżeństwa sakramentalnego. Częściej rozumieją je kobiety, respondenci w wieku powyżej 51. roku życia, zamieszkujący na wsi oraz ci, którzy zawarli małżeństwo sakramentalne. Wyzwaniem duszpasterskim w zakresie rozumienia aspektów moralnych małżeństwa kanonicznego są mężczyźni, osoby w wieku poniżej 31 lat oraz ci małżonkowie, którzy nie zawarli jeszcze małżeństwa kanonicznego, ale są w drodze do przyjęcia tego sakramentu w Kościele.

The source of love is in God’s act of creation, therefore, it captures the truth in the human heart the best. A deep understanding of love as well as living it out on a daily basis are crucial for the relationship between man and woman in marriage. This paper presents the results of research on living out and experiencing love by spouses in marriage. A very high percentage of respondents declare to live out love adequately to their marriage oath. A slightly lower percentage of respondents live out their love as a constant openness to the conception of new life, and less than half of respondents live out their love as a strong erotic drive between spouses. More than one third of spouses live out their love as a sacrifice and daily straggle without adequate reciprocity. The results indicate the need for pastoral care of marital bonds.

Miłość najtrafniej ujmuje prawdę o sercu człowieka, gdyż ma swoje źródło w stwórczym akcie Boga. Właściwe rozumienie i przeżywanie miłości jest kluczowe dla relacji małżeńskiej. W niniejszym artykule zostało ukazane przeżywanie miłości przez małżonków na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań. Bardzo wysoki odsetek respondentów deklaruje przeżywanie miłości adekwatne do złożonej przysięgi małżeńskiej. Nieco niższy procent przeżywa swoją miłość jako stałą otwartość na poczęcie nowego życia, a mniej niż połowa badanych przeżywa ją jako silną więź erotyczną ze współmałżonkiem. Ponad jedna trzecia małżonków przeżywa miłość małżeńską jako ofiarność i wysiłek przy nieadekwatnej wzajemności. Wyniki wskazują na potrzebę duszpasterskiej troski o więź małżeńską.

Marriage is a basic human vocation realized by the majority of the members of the Church. Man and woman are called to be a space in which God's love manifests and gives birth to life. The sacrament of marriage strengthens their love and at the same time indicates the obligations of their calling. Studies conducted among spouses have shown that a high percentage of spouses view their vocation to marital love from a theological perspective, in accordance with the teaching of the Church. This is more often understood by women, spouses over 46 and those belonging to religious associations. Challenges in shaping the understanding of the call to love are men, younger spouses, the less educated and those not affiliated with the Church.

Małżeństwo jest podstawowym powołaniem człowieka, realizowanym przez większość członków Kościoła. Mężczyzna i kobieta są powołani do bycia przestrzenią, w której przejawia się miłość Boża i rodzi życie. Sakrament małżeństwa umacnia ich miłość, a jednocześnie wskazuje zobowiązania ich powołania. Przeprowadzone wśród małżonków badania dowiodły, że wysoki odsetek małżonków postrzega swoje powołanie do miłości małżeńskiej w perspektywie teologicznej, zgodnie z nauczaniem Kościoła. Częściej rozumieją je w ten sposób kobiety, małżonkowie w wieku powyżej 46 roku życia oraz należący do zrzeszeń religijnych. Wyzwanie w zakresie kształtowania rozumienia powołania do miłości stanowią mężczyźni, małżonkowie młodsi, słabiej wykształceni oraz nie zrzeszeni w Kościele.
