All nineteen episodes of Black Mirror produced so far deal with the theme of social consequences of technological development. Dystopian vision of the future not only relates to the stories told in each episode, but also the way the series is distributed. Popularity of the series made the creators decide to move the production from traditional television to the Netflix platform. Ironically, the streaming giant is, within the framework of entertainment industry, a fulfilment of some disturbing features of new technologies, shown in the diegetic layer of Black Mirror.

The aim of the article is to show the trajectory of the development of relations between objects and the human in the context of posthumanism. I would like to show what challenges brought us new technologies and the change in the contemporary functioning of the subject, both in the material and discursive dimension.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wskazanie trajektorii rozwoju relacji między przedmiotami a człowiekiem w świetle posthumanizmu. W tym kontekście chciałbym pokazać, jakie wyzwania stawiają przed nami nowe technologie oraz jak zmienia się współczesne funkcjonowanie podmiotów, zarówno w wymiarze materialnym, jak i dyskursywnym.
