Przedmiotem niniejszych badań teologicznych jest próba wydobycia cech dobrego ojca z tekstów pieśni o św. Józefie Oblubieńcu NMP. Przeprowadzona analiza zebranych pieśni, hymnów i piosenek o tym św. Opiekunie, umożliwiła nakreślić jego postać, taką, jaka kształtowana jest poprzez śpiew w świadomości polskiej społeczności wierzących. Św. Józef jest dyskretnie obecny w życiu rodzinnym w okresie dziecięcego życia Jezusa Chrystusa. Miłość św. Józefa do swojego przybranego Syna i jego Matki przejawia się w czystości relacji i troskliwości. Św. Józef wraz z Maryją tworzą dojrzałą wspólnotę, w której panuje podarowanie siebie oraz doskonała jedność. Ubogi św. Józef jest ojcem odpowiedzialnym, pracowitym i ufającym opatrzności Bożej. Umierający św. Józef należy do tych mężczyzn, którzy spełnili się jako ojcowie i zrealizowali swe powołanie.

This theological research is an attempt to extract the features of a good father from the texts of songs about St. Joseph, the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The analysis of the collected songs and hymns about this St. Guardian, made it possible to outline his character in the way it is shaped in the consciousness of the Polish community of believers by singing. St. Joseph is discreetly present in family life during the childhood life of Jesus Christ. St. Joseph’s love to his adopted Son and his Mother is manifested in purity of relationship and care. Although St. Joseph is an indigent person, together with Mary he creates a mature community in which self-giving and perfect unity prevails. St. Joseph is a responsible, hardworking and trusting in God’s providence father. This great saint is a representative of those men who have fulfilled themselves as fathers and realized their calling.
