The article presents considerations regarding scientific evidence with particular emphasis on issues related to the assessment of such evidence. Te possibility is examined of creating rules that may be helpful tips in assessing the evidential value of an expert statement. There is also a review of a procedural authority’s potential to recommend a specific test for a given case.

W artykule zaprezentowane zostały rozważania dotyczące dowodu naukowego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem problematyki związanej z oceną takiego dowodu. Podjęta została kwestia możliwości stworzenia reguł mogących stanowić pomocne wskazówki w procesie dokonywania oceny wartości dowodowej opinii biegłego. Analizie poddano także możliwość wskazania biegłemu przez organ procesowy konkretnej metody badawczej, którą w danym przypadku powinien zastosować.
