The essay deals with the bicycle issues in the modern cities, with the particular emphasis on Toruń, a beautiful Polish city situated in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. There’s the city bike system considered in the work as well as the bicycle infrastructure and the relationships between cyclists and another trafc users. There’re many problematic areas observed and shown in the thesis. The attention is paid to the correlation between the development of modern technologies and the modern urban mobility idea that is efective, ecological and economical. There are also comparisons to other systems found in Poland and the situation in smaller cities contained in the essay. The attention is also paid on the shared mobility service and shared economy idea which are very prospective issues.

Esej traktuje o problematyce rowerowej we współczesnych miastach, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Torunia, polskiego miasta w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim. Podejmowana jest w nim taka problematyka, jak na przykład system roweru miejskiego i jego funkcjonowanie, infrastruktura rowerowa i jej jakość, relacje pomiędzy rowerzystami a innymi użytkownikami ruchu drogowego. W pracy wskazane są liczne obszary problemowe, które są zauważalne. Zwracana jest uwaga na współzależność pomiędzy rozwojem nowoczesnych technologii, a ideą nowoczesnej, miejskiej mobilności, która jest efektywna, ekologiczna oraz powodująca korzyści, chociażby ekonomiczne. W pracy pojawiają się także porównania do innych systemów obecnych w Polsce i sytuacji panującej w mniejszych miastach. Usługi shared mobility i idea shared economy są bardzo przyszłościowymi sprawami, na co zwraca się tutaj uwagę.
