The paper analyzes spatial distribution trends of population within the area of Wroclaw city and identifies the role of the transportation network. The analyzed transportation system is identified not only as a network of traffic connections but also as a factor influencing spatial distribution patterns of city functions, quality of life, and lifestyle preferences of city residents. The results presented in the paper, derived using the spherical projection method, illustrate the spatial relationship between population distribution in the period 1998–2010 and the accessibility of endogenous functions in the city. The results of investigation on transportation network, curried out with the use of spherical projection method are presented. The paper reveals certain spatial distribution preferences with regard to areas and directions of expansion and the results are discussed in light of contemporary quality of life theories.

Praca jest analiza przestrzennych trendów rozmieszczenia ludności Wrocławia i próba określenia w nich roli układu komunikacyjnego. Badany system transportowy miasta nie jest tu przedstawiony jedynie jako siec połączeń drogowych. Rzutuje on nie tylko na rozmieszczenie podstawowych funkcji miejskich, ale również na styl życia i preferencje przestrzenne mieszkańców. W pracy zastosowano i  przedstawiono wyniki projekcji sferycznej w  celu ukazania przestrzennych zależności pomiędzy rozmieszczeniem ludności w latach 1998–2010 a dostępnością do wybranych funkcji endogenicznych. Naświetlono ujawnione preferencje obszarowe i kierunkowe oraz przedyskutowano otrzymane wyniki w kontekście współczesnych modeli jakości życia mieszkańców.

W coraz bardziej zróżnicowanym świecie otwartość na odmienność staje się priorytetowa. Odmienność ta może być rozumiana szeroko. Może odnosić się do osób z obcym bagażem kulturowym, innymi zasobami kulturowymi czy ich niedoborem. Może dotyczyć także jednostek czy całych grup wykazujących specjalne potrzeby. Otwarcie na potrzeby takich osób i edukowanie społeczeństwa w tym zakresie należy do jednego z wielu zadań instytucji kultury. Potrzeba czynienia instytucji bardziej dostępną staje się coraz większym wyzwaniem dla jej pracowników. W tekście został podjęty problem dostosowywania instytucji kultury do wymogów ustawodawczych wprowadzonych przez ustawę z dnia 19.07.2019 r. o zapewnianiu dostępności osobom ze szczególnymi potrzebami (Dz.U. 2020, poz. 1062) oraz ustawę z dnia 4.04.2019 r. o dostępności cyfrowej stron internetowych i aplikacji mobilnych podmiotów publicznych (Dz.U. 2019, poz. 848). Zagadnienie to zostało rozpatrzone w oparciu o wyniki badań przeprowadzonych metodą studium przypadku w Muzeum Śląska Cieszyńskiego w Cieszynie. W prowadzonych badaniach pod uwagę wzięto dostępność architektoniczną, komunikacyjno-informacyjną i cyfrową. Analizie poddano wywiady przeprowadzone z pracownikami muzeum. W tekście została podjęta próba odpowiedzi na pytanie o ocenę dostępności badanej jednostki zarówno z perspektywy zwiedzającego (obserwacja uczestnicząca), jak i pracowników.

In the increasingly diversified world, openness to difference becomes a priority. This difference can be understood broadly. It may refer to people with foreign cultural experiences, with other cultural resources or with their shortage. It may also concern individuals or entire groups with special needs. Opening to the needs of such people and educating the society in this regard is one of the many tasks of cultural institutions. The need to make an institution more accessible is becoming a constantly growing challenge for its employees. The text addresses the problem of adapting cultural institutions to the legislative requirements introduced by the Act of 19th July 2019 on ensuring accessibility to people with special needs and the Act of 4th April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This issue was discussed in reference to the research results obtained with the use of the case study method in the research conducted in the Museum of Cieszyn Silesia in Cieszyn. What was taken into account in those studies was architectural, communication-information and digital accessibility. The interviews conducted with museum employees were analysed.
