The subject of the article is social security of missions veterans outside the state of Poland. Until 2011, the situation of people injured during the missions was very difficult. Disabled soldiers could not relay on the state aid. Currently, the situation of the injured veterans is much better than before implementation veterans’ law. The act was passed thanks to the social capital of soldiers, including members of non-governmental organizations. The research problem in the article is “How has the social security of injured veterans changed since 2011 and what is the role of communities security in this system?”. The subject of the analysis are interviews conducted on a sample of 32 veterans.

Przedmiotem artykułu jest bezpieczeństwo socjalne weteranów misji poza granicami państwa. Do 2011 r. niepełnosprawni żołnierze nie mogli liczyć na oczekiwaną pomoc państwa. Obecnie sytuacja weteranów poszkodowanych jest o wiele lepsza niż przed wejściem w życie przepisów ustawy o weteranach. Ustawa została uchwalona dzięki kapitałowi społecznemu żołnierzy, w tym członków organizacji pozarządowych. Problem badawczy stawiany w artykule brzmi „Czy bezpieczeństwo socjalne weteranów poszkodowanych zmieniło się od czasu uchwalenia w 2011 r. ustawy o weteranach?”. Przedmiotem analizy są wywiady przeprowadzone na próbie 32 weteranów.
