Currently, under the influence of globalization process, competitiveness is one of the main research issues. In the periods of revaluation and changes in the sources of competitive advantage, the choice of appropriate strategy becomes the framework for the initiation of survival and development processes in variable environment. The companies in their elaborated development strategies search for conductive solutions to gain lasting competitive advantage, based on more effective utilization of their own possibilities and adjustment to changing social and economic conditions. The paper presents subsystems competitiveness of the company, the sources and types of competitive advantages and competitive strategies.

Zmienność warunków funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw powoduje, iż ich konkurencyjność staje ważnym wątkiem badawczym. Czynniki mające istotny wpływ na poziom konkurencyjności ulegają zmianom adekwatnie do procesów zachodzących w otoczeniu. Przedsiębiorstwa umiejętnie dostosowują swoje strategie rozwoju do zachodzących zmian przy wykorzystaniu potencjału konkurencyjnego, który stanowi o przewadze konkurencyjnej. Ta, bazując na odpowiednich narzędziach, wpływa na pozycję konkurencyjną. W publikacji na podstawie analizy literatury ukazano podsystemy konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstwa, źródła i rodzaje przewag konkurencyjnych oraz strategie konkurencyjne.
