Od roku szkolnego 2009/2010 w klasach I–III szkoły podstawowej obligatoryjnie odbywają się zajęcia komputerowe. Uprawnienia do ich prowadzenia uzyskali zarówno nauczyciele edukacji wczesnoszkolnej, jak i nauczyciele informatyki uczący w klasach IV–VI. Powierzenie realizacji tych zajęć nauczycielom klas I–III zwiększa szanse na wykorzystanie technologii informacyjnokomunikacyjnych do wspomagania zajęć zintegrowanych. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika jednak, że zajęcia te rzadko są realizowane w taki sposób. Główną przyczyną wydają się tu być niewystarczające kompetencje nauczycieli edukacji wczesnoszkolnej.

The computer classes have been treated as obligatory for the pupils from classes I–III of the primary school since the school year 2009/2010. Both the primary education teachers and the teachers of computer sciences have obtained the entitlement to conduct them. As a result of entrusting the primary education teachers with the computer classes an opportunity for taking advantage of informative and communicative technologies in the integrated classes are augmented. Nonetheless, the research which has been carried out revealed that these activities are rarely implemented in such a way. The analysis indicates inadequate competencies of the primary education teachers as the main cause.

Nowadays, in a time of wide access to technology, it is particularly important to prepare children and young people to function in the information society. Reading and media education, which as an interdisciplinary path was implemented in elementary education in 1999, was meant to serve this purpose. Its removal from the curriculum and the introduction of computer classes in its place changed the way of thinking about the role of the media in integrated education. In this article I am trying to show that this decision has had a negative effect on education in the field of children’s preparation for the critical and thoughtful usage of both traditional and modern media. The conclusions drawn from the core curriculum currently in force are compared to the results of research conducted among teachers and relating to their opinion about using the media in elementary education.

Obowiązująca od 2009 roku nowa podstawa programowa zakłada realizację zajęć technicznych w klasach I–VI szkoły podstawowej oraz w gimnazjum, zajęć komputerowych w klasach I– VI szkoły podstawowej oraz informatyki w gimnazjum i liceum. Czy pakiety dydaktyczne adresowane dla szkolnictwa zawodowego można wykorzystać wdrażając nowe podstawy programowe w wymienionych szkołach? W artykule przedstawiono wymagania nowej podstawy programowej w zakresie edukacji ogólnotechnicznej i informatycznej oraz wskazano pakiety dydaktyczne, które mogą być wykorzystane przez nauczycieli szkół podstawowych, gimnazjalnych i liceów. Podstawą rozważań jest projekt, którego koordynatorem był Instytut Technologii Eksploatacji – Państwowy Instytut Badawczy w Radomiu.

New curricular base legally binding since 2009, assumes the realization of technical classes in the years I–VI of the primary school and gymnasium, as well as computer classes in the years I–VI of the primary school and computer science in a gymnasium and secondary school. Can the educational packages addressed to vocational schools be used in the implementation of the new curricular base in the schools mentioned above? The article presents requirements of the new curricular base in the field of all-technical and ICT education as well as indicate those educational packages that can be used by teachers from primary schools, gymnasiums and secondary schools. The basis for the presented reflections is the project coordinated by the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute in Radom.
