This article is dedicated to the research of nonverbal elements in discourse. In order to direct the process of communication correctly and in order to evaluate it adequately it is essential not only to study the verbal part of communication but also to research all components of oral or written discourse. Chief amongst these components are the paralinguistic methods. This work also deals with nonverbal elements, such as facial expression, body location, distance between speakers, movements and gestures. This elements are described in the Italian language material.

L'articolo è dedicato alla ricerca di elementi non verbali nel discorso. Per dirigere correttamente il processo di comunicazione e per la sua adeguata valutazione è essenziale esaminare non solo la parte verbale, ma anche tutti i componenti del discorso scritto o orale, tra i quali i metodi paralinguistici. Lo studio si occupa di elementi extraverbali, come ad esempio: l’espressione del viso, la posizione del corpo, la distanza tra gli interlocutori, i movimenti, i gesti. Tutti i mezzi paralinguistici sono esaminati in base del materiale della lingua italiana.

Marriage is a very unique type of interpersonal relationship between two people. Proper communication between spouses is a crucial issue for the good health of the marriage. This article is focused on some communication processes between partners. The communication axioms, as the principles of great impact on the marital relationship, have been shown together with the possibilities of the spouses’ communication difficulties. The role of non-verbal communication, as well as the specification of some concrete communication behaviors, are the highlighted topics in the following article.

Relacja małżeńska jest specyficznym typem relacji interpersonalnej, a w jej funkcjono-waniu niezwykle ważną rolę odgrywa skuteczna komunikacja między małżonkami. Ten arty-kuł prezentuje niektóre procesy komunikacyjne zachodzące pomiędzy małżonkami. Ukazane są w nim aksjomaty komunikacyjne jako zasady funkcjonujące również w relacji małżeńskiej; przedstawiona jest rola umiejętności komunikacyjnych w dobrym funkcjonowaniu małżeństwa, a także możliwe trudności w komunikacji małżeńskiej. Ponadto w artykule uwypuklona jest rola komunikacji niewerbalnej w małżeństwie oraz charakterystyka konkretnych zachowań komunikacyjnych w relacji pomiędzy małżonkami.
