The contribution focuses on the possibilities of applying the elements of music education within the theory and practice of drama education in the education of undergraduate students – the future elementary and secondary school teachers. Implementation of music education to the subject of Drama education in the study programme ‘Teaching comprehensive subjects’ allows the participants: a) learn how to use the aforementioned educational art subjects as the possibility to create a positive atmosphere in the classroom by creative education; b) activate students in educational process. The theoretical part of the paper is illustrated by the examples from the educational practice compiled by the authoresses.

The aim of this paper is to highlight the important position of methods of creative drama with a focus on dramatization and role-play which enable a child to acquire new knowledge and skills through personal, emotional and practical experience in the educational process in active drama activities. Creative drama is based on experiential learning and it enables creative work with kids, builds their confidence, creates a space for self-fulfillment and builds on the creative potential of the child. Activities which create space for self-expression of a child and bring joy and a sense of accomplishment are proposed at the end of the article.

The paper familiarizes the reader with the output of the project titled Support Therapies for Children with Learning Disorders which we implemented at an elementary school. It describes the individual therapy types which were used and which can, to certain extent, help the pupils with special educational needs. The paper focuses on our experiences with the use of creative drama elements and drama therapy with 5th - 9th grade pupils. It presents the acquired qualitative data which show the reader the specifics of the educational process and public presentation of pupils with learning and behaviour disorders.

In the past years, numerous efforts for reformation of the traditional education system were witnessed in connection with changes in society. The educational process needs to be organized in a way which ensures individual development of a person to a full extent of his or her capabilities in order to prepare him or her for the best possible integration into society. Pre-primary education is an important milestone in the education of children who are spontaneous in their actions and communication. This paper focuses on the use of a creative drama which uses experiential and cooperative teaching during creative activities which enhance the development of child’s personality. Creative drama represents learning through experience and emphasizes the individuality of every person. Drama activities create space for gaining new experience and active participation in various creative drama situations.

W ostatnich latach obserwowano wiele wysiłków podejmowanych na rzecz reformy tradycyjnego systemu oświaty w łączności ze zmianami w społeczeństwie. Proces edukacyjny musi być zorganizowany w sposób zapewniający indywidualny rozwój osoby w pełnym zakresie jej możliwości tak, aby przygotować ją do jak najlepszej integracji ze społeczeństwem. Wczesna edukacja jest kamieniem milowym w edukacji dzieci, które są spontaniczne w swoich działaniach i komunikowaniu się. Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na wykorzystaniu twórczej dramy, która uwzględnia empiryczne i kooperatywne nauczanie podczas twórczych działań, które zwiększają rozwój osobowości dziecka. Twórcza drama reprezentuje uczenie się przez doświadczenie oraz podkreśla indywidualność każdej osoby. Działania dramatyczne stwarzają przestrzeń do zdobywania nowych doświadczeń i aktywnego uczestnictwa w różnych sytuacjach dramowych.

The article presents the most important drama techniques used in the work with children in Slovak republic, such as: stepping into the role and improvisation. Also discusses a method of activating student in the teaching process – a teaching game. The opinions of the theoreticians and practitioners of drama (eg A. Dziedzic, A. Pruszkowska, K. Witerska) concerning her educational and educational values and examples of dramatic exercises (eg pantomime etiquettes, improvised scenes, sensitivity sensory exercises) pupils in early school education. The specificity of the article is an exposition of creative drama as a method of appealing to the creative imagination of pupils and developing their creativity.

W artykule zaprezentowano najważniejsze techniki dramowe wykorzystywane podczas pracy z dziećmi na Słowacji, takie jak wchodzenie w rolę i improwizacja. Omówiono także jedną z metod aktywizujących ucznia w procesie dydaktycznym – grę dydaktyczną. Przybliżono opinie teoretyków i praktyków dramy (m.in. A. Dziedzic, A. Pruszkowskiej, K. Witerskiej), dotyczące jej walorów dydaktycznych i wychowawczych, oraz przykładowe ćwiczenia dramowe (m.in. etiudy pantomimiczne, scenki improwizowane, ćwiczenia rozwijające wrażliwość zmysłów), które można zaproponować uczniom w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej. Specyfikę artykułu stanowi wyeksponowanie dramy kreatywnej jako metody odwołującej się do twórczej wyobraźni ucznia oraz rozwijającej jego kreatywność.

The author exposes theoretical substantiation as well as practical utilization of new integrative musical-dramatic activities which have become a part of the latest textbooks and methodical handbooks of musical education in Slovak elementary schools. He brings forth basic information on the method of creative drama as well as its application in both school and after-school musical education.
