The subject of the article is the issue of governance in the EU. The functioning of this type of organization with an extensive membership base and extensive competencies requires the development of an appropriate decision-making model. The solutions adopted, based on the multi-level governance mechanism, ensure effective operation, but require adjustments in relation to crisis situations. These adjustments should take into account not only the current needs of the integration process (e.g. effective Brexit or migration crisis management of African people), but also constitute an effective modus operandi in relation to the new challenges that the EU will take in the future.

The subject of this article is American Conservative’s view on religion at the time of „Christian Awekening”. The Author argues that it is ambivalent. On the one hand, they claim that religion is an answer to the crisis of modern secularism. On the other hand, some of them think that it poses a threat to the political order because Christianity is in a deep crisis. Over the last decades it has been transformed by democratic, egalitarian and therapeutic culture.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine are the source of many difficult situations, life crises and disasters, which requires assistance and social support. This necessarily short article presents selected aspects of the occurrence of crises, critical life events, post-traumatic stress disorders, fear of death and the processes of overcoming difficulties, providing help and social support. The issue of education for peace has been shown in a new light.

Pandemia COVID – 19 oraz tocząca się wojna na Ukrainie są źródłem wielu sytuacji trudnych, kryzysów życiowych i katastrof, co wymaga udzielania pomocy i wsparcia społecznego. W tym, z konieczności krótkim, artykule zaprezentowano wybrane aspekty występowania kryzysów, krytycznych wydarzeń życiowych, zaburzeń po stresie traumatycznym, lęku przed śmiercią oraz procesów przezwyciężania trudności, udzielania pomocy i wsparcia społecznego. W nowym świetle ukazana została problematyka wychowania dla pokoju.

Artykuł przedstawia krytyczną sytuację, w jakiej znalazła się polska gastronomia w czasach pandemii. Wsparcie oferowane przez państwo nie jest wystarczające, przez co wiele lokali żeby przetrwać musi łamać obostrzenia, w innym przypadku grozi im bankructwo. Autorka chciała ukazać w artykule fakt, że zamykając branżę gastronomiczną cierpią nie tylko właściciele lokali, ale również pracownicy zatrudniani przez pracodawców jak i firmy zewnętrzne, dostarczające dobra do restauracji.

The article presents the critical situation in which Polish catering industry found itself in times of pandemic. Support offered by the state is not sufficient, which means that many establishments must violate restrictions in order to survive, otherwise they are threatened with bankruptcy. The author wanted to show in the article that by closing down the catering industry suffer not only the owners of establishments, but also employees hired by employers and external companies that provide goods to the restaurant.
