New Zealand has been a nation of firsts and innovators of many occasions. Moreover, it has also been a leading nation for civil and humanitarian issues. Peter Fraser was eager to invite over seven hundred Polish children to the country during World War II to keep them safe from the threat. Modern world has been shaped by past experience, where apart from cultural heritage and people’s backgrounds or origins neoliberalism created new conditions in which people around the world struggle to live. Neo liberalism along with capitalism unifying our world have influenced the notion of common values for different people. Nation is one of such values. We are now in the 21st century and it seems that New Zealand is at the forefront of progress on global scale in terms of understanding the concept of nation in global conditions. It is common knowledge that New Zealand depends mostly on exports, does it mean that New Zealand must compete by nation–branding with others on the global market?

Безопасность является междисциплинарной научной категорией, имеющей глубокий потенциал для изучения философами, политологами, правоведами и другими представителями социальных наук. Вопросы безопасности неразрывно связаны также с наукой «Теория государства и права», изучающей общие закономерности возникновения, эволюции, функционирования и взаимодействия государства и права. При этом существующие в мире концепции (школы) безопасности, оставаясь широко изученными в плоскости политических наук, до настоящего времени еще не исследовались теоретической наукой о государстве и праве. Цель статьи – исследование основных концепций безопасности сквозь призму науки «Теория государства и права», что позволит обогатить данную науку новым теоретическим и методологическим материалом, открыв новые пространства для междисциплинарных исследований безопасности с позиций юридических и политических наук.

Security is an interdisciplinary scientific category with deep potential for study by philosophers, political scientists, and other representatives of the social sciences. Security issues are also linked with the science “Theory of State and Law”, which studies the general principles of the emergence, evolution, functioning and interaction of state and law. At the same time, the concepts (schools) of security existing in the world, while remaining widely studied in political sciences, have not yet been studied by the theoretical science of state and law. The aim of the article is analysis of the basic concepts of security through the prism of the science “Theory of State and Law”, which will enrich the science with new theoretical and methodological material, opening new space for interdisciplinary studies of security from the standpoint of legal and political sciences.
