The Polish People's Republic, as a closed period in the modern history of Poland, undoubtedly deserves a detailed scientific analysis. This article is an attempt to describe individual social undertakings organized in the Białskopodlaskie voivodeship as part of social and political activities. The main source analyzed were the reports of the Provincial Planning Commission and the KW PZPR documentation in Biała Podlaska. The dis-cussed issue has not been investigated so far and constitutes an introduction to further research.

Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa jako zamknięty okres najnowszej historii Polski niewątpliwie zasługuje na szczegółową analizę naukową. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę opisu poszczególnych przedsięwzięć społecznych organizowanych na terenie województwa bialskopodlaskiego, w ramach czynów społecznych i partyjnych. Podstawowym źródłem, poddanym analizie były sprawozdania Wojewódzkiej Komisji Planowania oraz dokumentacja KW PZPR w Białej Podlaskiej. Omawiane zagadnienie nie było dotychczas badane i stanowi wstęp do dalszych badań.
