The latest scientific reports encourage teachers and parents to try to help the youngest children to develop their reading skills. Analyses of the obtained research results indicate that this strategy is effective. This report is the result of a pedagogical experiment. The research material was preceded by a presentation of the characteristics of particular concepts that were applied in the project aiming at the identification of levels of effectiveness of selected methods used to develop children’s reading skills. These include: the Doman Method and two other original methods: the one promoted by Irena Majchrzak (based on the child’s name) and that developed by Bronisław Rocławski (learning to read and write using the phonetic-letter-colour method). Following the research, some useful conclusions for teachers were drawn. They show that the early expose to reading in kindergarten may be of great benefit to children since it opens opportunities for their educational achievements and, above all, has a positive influence on all spheres of their development.

Najnowsze doniesienia naukowe zachęcają nauczycieli i rodziców do podejmowania prób nauki czytania z dziećmi najmłodszymi. Analizy osiąganych rezultatów badawczych wskazują na skuteczność tego typu przedsięwzięć. Przedstawiony komunikat z badań jest rezultatem przeprowadzonego eksperymentu pedagogicznego. Materiał badawczy został poprzedzony charakterystyką poszczególnych koncepcji, które znalazły zastosowanie w projekcie dotyczącym poziomu efektywności wybranych metod nauki czytania. Należą do nich: Zabawa w czytanie Glenna Domana, Odimienna metoda nauki czytania Ireny Majchrzak oraz nauka czytania i pisania metodą fonetyczno-literowo-barwną Bronisława Rocławskiego. Z przeprowadzonych badań wysunięto wnioski skierowane do nauczycieli. Wynika z nich, że warto wprowadzić naukę czytania w przedszkolu, ponieważ daje ona szansę na sukcesy edukacyjne, a nade wszystko korzystnie wpływa na wszystkie sfery rozwojowe dziecka.
