The paper deals with the issue of the high frontal system of the tongue in the realization of the vowel phoneme /i/, as well as consonant phonemes, the realization of which includes the high frontal system of the tongue. The results of contemporary speech therapy research on selected anatomical and functional conditions of defective realization of consonant phonemes /ɕ, ʑ, ʨ, ʥ, ɲ, j/ and /i/, as well as the phenomenon of depalatalization, are discussed.

W pracy podjęto zagadnienia itowego układu języka w realizacjach fonemu samogłoskowego /i/, a także fonemów spółgłoskowych, w których realizację wpisany jest itowy układ języka. Omówiono wyniki współczesnych badań logopedycznych nad wybranymi anatomiczno-czynnościowymi uwarunkowaniami wadliwych realizacji fonemów spółgłoskowych /ɕ, ʑ, ʨ, ʥ, ɲ, j/ oraz /i/, a także zjawisko depalatalizacji.

The article reports the most important phonetic changes which have taken place in the contemporary Polish language. The aim of the sketch is to answer the questions that arise when learning phonetics and pronunciation, especially in regard to sounds: [ś], [ź], [ć], [ӡ́] and [s΄], [z΄], [c΄], [ӡ’]. The author focuses on the phenomena associated with the withdrawal of palatalisation and presents the solutions adopted in academic textbooks. Finally, she presents her own suggestions for the articulation of the abovementioned sounds at the meeting point of morphemes.

W artykule zreferowane zostały najważniejsze przemiany fonetyczne zachodzące we współczesnej polszczyźnie. Celem szkicu jest odpowiedź na pytania, które pojawiają się w trakcie nauki fonetyki i wymowy, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do głosek: [ś], [ź], [ć], [ӡ́] oraz [s΄], [z΄], [c΄], [ӡ’]. Autorka skupia się na zjawiskach związanych z osłabianiem zmiękczeń i prezentuje rozwiązania przyjęte w podręcznikach akademickich. Na zakończenie przedstawia własne propozycje wymowy wspomnianych głosek na styku morfemów.
