Determinanty działalności eksportowej polskich firm produkcyjnych

This article aims to econometrically identify factors determining the export performance of Polish manufacturing firms. A logit analysis is conducted based on a set of quantitative and qualitative data obtained from a combination of two databases of financial data and the results of a direct survey of 470 entities. The results confirm the basic postulates put forward within the contemporary strand of theoretical literature regarding what are known as heterogeneous firms. Exporters differ from non-exporters in a number of aspects, including size, productivity and innovation performance. In the studied sample, the probability of exports depends above all on the presence of foreign capital and is significantly higher for larger and more productive entities.

Celem artykułu jest ekonometryczna identyfikacja czynników determinujących działalność eksportową polskich firm produkcyjnych. Analiza przy wykorzystaniu modelowania logitowego przeprowadzona jest na bazie danych ilościowo-jakościowych pozyskanych z połączenia danych finansowych InfoCredit z wynikami dużego badania ankietowego wykonanego metodą bezpośrednią na grupie 470 podmiotów. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają podstawowe tezy stawiane przez współczesną literaturę teoretyczną nurtu heterogenicznych firm. Eksporterzy różnią się od nieeksporterów m.in. wielkością, produktywnością oraz innowacyjnością. W rozpatrywanej próbie prawdopodobieństwo eksportu zależy w pierwszej kolejności od obecności kapitału zagranicznego. Jest ono jednocześnie wyraźnie wyższe dla większych oraz bardziej produktywnych podmiotów. Uzyskane rezultaty mogą stanowić przyczynek do dalszych pogłębionych badań. Powinny być również pomocne w kształtowaniu polityki gospodarczej kraju.
