Artur Becker is a Polish-German author living in Germany. He has lived in Germany since 1985. and has written novels, short stories, poems and essays and also works as a translator. Becker was awarded the Adelbert von Chamisso Prize by the Robert Bosch Foundation in 2009, and the DIALOG Prize of the German-Polish Association in 2012.

Artur Becker ist ein seit 1985 in Deutschland lebender polnisch-deutscher Autor. Becker schreibt Romane, Erzählungen, Gedichte und Aufsätze und ist als Übersetzer tätig. Becker wurde 2009 mit dem Adelbert-von-Chamisso-Preis der Robert Bosch Stiftung ausgezeichnet, 2012 erhielt er den DIALOG-Preis der Deutsch-Polnischen Gesellschaft Bundesverband.

Matthias Nawrat is a Polish-German author living in Germany born in Opole, Poland. He moved with his family to Bamberg in 1989. He was awarded the Adelbert-von-ChamissoFörderpreis, was nominated for the Deutscher Buchpreis, received the Bremen Literature Prize and the Alfred Döblin Medaille. His most important novels were "Wir zwei allein" (2012), "Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek" (2015), and "Der traurige Gast" (2019).

Matthias Nawrat ist ein deutscher Autor polnischer Herkunft. Matthias Nawrat wurde im polnischen Opole geboren und siedelte 1989 mit seiner Familie nach Bamberg über. Er wurde mit dem Adelbert-von-Chamisso-Förderpreis ausgezeichnet, zum Deutschen Buchpreis nominiert und erhielt den Bremer Literaturpreis sowie die Alfred-Döblin-Medaille. Die wichtigsten Texte: "Wir zwei allein" (2012), "Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek"  (2015), "Der traurige Gast" (2019).

Matthias Nawrat to niemiecki autor polskiego pochodzenia. Matthias Nawrat urodził się w Opolu i wraz z rodziną przeprowadził się w 1989 roku do Bambergu. Uzyskał Nagrodę im. Adelberta von Chamisso (Förderpreis), był nominowany do Niemieckiej Nagrody Książkowej (Deutscher Buchpreis), otrzymał Nagrodę Literacką miasta Bremy i Medal im. Alfreda Döblina. Najważniejsze teksty: "Wir zwei allein" (2012), "Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek" (2015), "Der traurige Gast" (2019).

The literary texts of young German-speaking writers of Polish origin are examined in detail. The aim of the analysis is to answer the questions of how the selected authors treat the search for identity in the selected literary works., the role of the influence of ’old‘ and ’new‘ culture on the identity formation of migrants and the resulting consequences. The subject of the investigation are the novels Katzenberge (2010) by Sabrina Janesch; Sitzen vier Polen im Auto: Teutonische Abenteuer (2012) by Alexandra Tobor; and Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek von Matthias Nawrat (2015).

In dem Artikel werden literarische Texte junger deutschsprachiger Schriftsteller polnischer Herkunft näher betrachtet. Ziel der Analyse ist die Beantwortung der Frage, wie in den ausgewählten literarischen Werken die Suche nach der eigenen Identität, die Rolle des Einflusses der „alten“ und „neuen“ Kultur auf die Identitätsbildung der Migranten sowie die daraus resultierenden Konsequenzen literarisch behandelt werden. Den Gegenstand der Untersuchung bilden die Romane Katzenberge (2010) von Sabrina Janesch, Sitzen vier Polen im Auto: Teutonische Abenteuer (2012) von Alexandra Tobor und Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek von Matthias Nawrat (2015).

Celem analiz jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób w wybranych utworach literackich autorstwa młodych niemieckojęzycznych pisarek i pisarzy polskiego pochodzenia ukazywane jest poszukiwanie własnej tożsamości, rola oddziaływania „starej” i „nowej” kultury w procesie kształtowania się tożsamości migranta i wynikające z tego konsekwencje. Przedmiotem analizy są następujące powieści: Katzenberge (2010) Sabriny Janesch, Sitzen vier Polen im Auto: Teutonische Abenteuer (2012) Alexandry Tobor oraz Die vielen Tode unseres Opas Jurek / Wszystkie śmierci dziadka Jurka (2015) Matthiasa Nawrata.
