Dydaktyka etyki wśród księgowych, pomimo oczekiwań i potrzeb zgłaszanych przez specjalistów z zakresu rachunkowości, jest wciąż niedoceniana przez środowiska akademickie. Zjawisko to spowodowane bardzo często brakiem wiedzy kadry nauczycielskiej oraz stopniem skomplikowania tematu powoduje, iż próżno szukać etyki w programach kształcenia uczelni, zaś działania stowarzyszeń zawodowych ze względu na fakultatywny charakter nie są wystarczające do przygotowania przyszłych księgowych do mierzenia się z dylematami moralnymi.

Accountant’s ethics didactics is still being underestimated by academic environments despite of the needs and expectations reported by the expert in terms of accountancy. This occurrence is very often caused by lack of knowledge and complexity degree which is why ethics is not included into university’s education program. Further, professional association’s actions are insufficient to prepare future accountant’s to meet with moral dilemmas.

The article presents the contemporary situation of teaching ethics in secondary schools in Spain. It highlights the historical and systemic contexts related to the introduction of this subject into the curriculum in the 1980s, as well as its position in the curriculum as an alternative to religious education. It also diagnoses problems and deficits resulting from multiple legislative changes, inconsistent and instrumental treatment of this subject by legislators and its still visible undervaluation in the Spanish education system. Finally, it proposes a number of practical solutions related to the methodology of teaching ethics and the role that a teacher can play in the education process. These suggestions are an attempt to respond to the assumptions formulated by law regarding the objectives of teaching the subject “Ethical Values”, and above all, they emphasize the close connection of ethics with the development of civic attitudes, practical development of critical thinking skills, responsibility, and autonomy.

Artykuł poświęcony jest współczesnej sytuacji nauczania etyki w szkołach ponadpodstawowych w Hiszpanii. Naświetla konteksty historyczne i systemowe, związane z wprowadzeniem tego przedmiotu do programu nauczania w latach osiemdziesiątych dwudziestego wieku, a także jego usytuowaniem w programie jako alternatywy dla nauki religii. Diagnozuje też problemy i deficyty, wynikające z wielokrotnych zmian legislacyjnych, niekonsekwentnego, instrumentalnego traktowania tego przedmiotu przez prawodawców oraz widocznego wciąż niedowartościowania go w hiszpańskim systemie edukacji. Na koniec proponuje szereg rozwiązań praktycznych, związanych z metodyką nauczania etyki oraz rolą, jaką w procesie kształcenia może odgrywać nauczyciel. Sugestie te stanowią próbę odpowiedzi na sformułowane w ustawie założenia dotyczące celów nauczania przedmiotu wartości etyczne, a przede wszystkim podkreślają bliski związek etyki z kształceniem postaw obywatelskich, praktycznym rozwijaniem dyspozycji krytycznego myślenia oraz odpowiedzialności.
