Poważnym problemem współczesnej rodziny jest jej dysfunkcyjność. Składają się na nią zaburzenia procesów naruszające struktury więzi rodzinnych, co za tym idzie trudności w wypełnianiu prawidłowych jej funkcji. Rodziny przeżywające trudne problemy i nie umiejące sobie z nimi poradzić potrzebują pomocy. W takich sytuacjach powołany zostaje asystent rodziny, który wchodzi w jej życie i zapoznając się z jej sytuacją, opracowuje indywidualny plan pracy, mający na celu pomoc, wsparcie i usamodzielnienie podopiecznych.

The biggest problem with current society, families is this functionality. In this case components are the process structures of being not close in a family with one to another, honesty, that in results is hard to function on a day to day basis and simply cause the problems in communication to run as a proper, healthy family. In most of those cases, a social worker needs to be involved in such family. Therefore the family’s with, such as issues need to get constantly help to overcome this situation. In this case a social worker must be involved too. In this case a social worker must be involved to help, to integrate with such a family, to understand those inside problems, find the recovery plan and implement under her/his supervision until this family can run properly on their own.

Niestety, moje badania wskazują, że szkoła i sami nauczyciele chcieliby lepiej „wypaść” aniżeli ma to miejsce. Pedagodzy nie za bardzo orientują się z jakich rodzin i z jakimi problemami borykają się ich podopieczni, nie odwiedzają ich w domach, rzadko kontaktują się z opiekunami gimnazjalistów. Czynią to tylko w sprawach na wyraźne życzenie rodziców. Jest pewne rozminięcie w opiniach obu grup: uczniowie deklarują mniejsze zainteresowani pedagogów swoimi problemami, nie widzą w nich partnerów do rozmów czy zwierzania się.

Unfortunately, my research shows that schools and teachers themselves would better "fall out" than it does. Teachers do not really orient themselves with what families and identify problems faced by their wards, do not visit them in their homes, rarely interact with tutors high school students. They do so only in cases at the express request of parents. It is certain developments are the opinions of both groups: students declare a lower educators interested in their problems, not see them as partners for interviews or confide in.

Family pedagogy focuses its interests around the issue of family upbringing, emphasizing the role of family and family home in human life. The article presents the role of family home in child’s life as the place of deep experiences, closeness and ties between the closest members of the family. The family home should create conditions for the proper development of the child and influence the form of childhood. The research concerning the family home shows that it is perceived by children from the angle of the atmosphere prevailing in it (unfavourable atmosphere arouses the feeling of loneliness, favourable atmosphere gives the sense of emotional security, makes the family home a safe home).
