Koncepcja „długiego ogona” (ang. „Long Tail” Concept) Chrisa Andersona zyskuje coraz większe znaczenie dla nauk ekonomicznych i zarządzania.

Chris Anderson’s „long tail” concept is becoming increasingly important in economic and management sciences. Its assumptions are visible mainly in trade, particularly in e-commerce. The concept is based on main factors that stimulate „the long tail”: spreading production and distribution methods and connecting supply with demand. The examples of traditional and on-line commercial operations, which function basing on „the long tail” principles are: Sears, Roebuck and Co., Wal-Mart, Allegro.pl and eBay.com.
