The purpose of the paper is to analyze economic development of administrative subregions (powiaty) of the Podkarpackie voivodship by means of some taxonomic indicators regarding four macrovariables: registered unemployment rate, fixed assets per capita, investment outlays per capita, and wages in the years 2002–2007. The investigation enabled division of all the sub-regions into coherent groups with respect to their economic advancement, which might be helpful while elaborating regional policy plans.
