In democratic society implementing the equality of possibilities allows to elaborate “people’s responsibilities and capacities” necessary for the realization of individuals’ personal functions in society. Thus a big attention is paid to school education as well. In the age of education a child’s socialization is taking place, that is conveyed by social maturity and the quality of maturity processes. Nevertheless, the education is significant not only for children and their successful socialization, but also for parents as when a child starts to attend school institution, his/her life has new purpose. A child, who attends institution of school education, has to adapt to this situation and to strive that it would become space of socio-cultural life. So in the article the authors discuss the quality of education (Lithuanian case). Based on the analysis of scientific literature and research.

Circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in many challenges for all entities constituting the education system in Poland. The article aims to present the specific character of managing education and the teaching team in this demanding unusual reality. Contemporary principals and managers of various levels of education, often burdened with a multitude and diversity of tasks and requirements imposed on their role and the organisation of work of the managed entity, regardless of the circumstances of management, require and expect adequate support. The article reviews current empirical research on the problem of the functioning of schools in the pandemic, including such aspects as the situation of teachers, principals, students and their parents. The results are set within the practical, day-to-day management of education, focusing on the implementation of statutory tasks and the circumstances of cooperation between the principal and the staff team (e.g., concerning communication, fulfilment of needs, conflict resolution). Reference has also been made to own empirical research dedicated to managerial talent in education and the specific character of conflict management in an educational institution.

Příspěvek „Využití personálního informačního systému k řízení vzdělávání v BOZP“ se v první části zabývá vymezením personálního informačního systému v procesu řízení lidských zdrojů organizace, Je zde vysvětleno současné pojetí této podpory a možné přístupy k němu.

Most organizations currently manage their personal processes through ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) and IT (Information Technologies) in different extent. In the Occupational health and safety (OHS) area they are used more likely for administrative purposes or serve as a communication tool. Comprehensive and integrated personal information system (PIS) could, however, bring broader use in the field of needs analysis, scheduling or implementation of employee education and training. PIS also affect efficient control of rules that have been already set up. Significant outcome can be reached by interconnection of PIS/ OSH model with the task management system. Report on „Application of personal information system in managing theOccupationalhealth and safetyeducation“ deals, in itsfirst part, with the definition of PIS in the extent of organization´s human resource management – with present approach explained. It shows which PIS modules cover the OSH issue and in which context. Second part is dedicated to planning, governance and OSH training system within the company. The third part of the report describes connection to other company´s processes. The conclusion summarizes some recommendations for possible PIS uses in theorganizations.

This paper aims at analysing political correctness in the context of education. Political correctness has already been widely studied and commented on; however, the phenomenon has received surprisingly little attention in relation to schooling and, particularly, teachers. In the Polish system of education, political correctness is manifest first of all in the overt policy applied by people in charge of education, who refrain from using terminology of e.g. “free market,” “commercial value,” “product,” “competition,” or “profit,” which could be unfavourably received or assessed by teachers. It turns out that political correctness, though founded upon proper assumptions and ideally contributing to common good, can be incorrectly understood or used for political purposes, and thus lose its initial sense, thwart communication between politicians and teachers and hinder their mutual understanding or even render it impossible. This paper attempts to reveal yet another set of conditions, this time the language-related ones, in which contemporary teachers work.

Artykuł ten stanowi próbę zwrócenia uwagi na mało dotychczas rozpoznane zjawisko poprawności politycznej w obszarze szkolnictwa i w odniesieniu do szkolnictwa, zwłaszcza nauczycieli.
