The article was devoted to the analysis of the educational needs of vocational education teachers based on research conducted among 111 respondents from vocation schools in the Masovian Voivodeship. The research project was planned and carried out by the vocational education team operating at the Masovian Local Government Center for Vocational Development. Teachers answered questions about their educational needs, preferred forms and expected topics of professional development. The conducted research made it possible to obtain knowledge about the training needs of this group of teachers and will contribute to the development of an offer that meets their preferences.

Artykuł został poświęcony analizie potrzeb edukacyjnych nauczycieli kształcenia zawodowego na podstawie badań przeprowadzonych wśród 111 respondentów ze szkół branżowych województwa mazowieckiego. Projekt badawczy został zaplanowany i przeprowadzony przez zespół kształcenia zawodowego działający w Mazowieckim Samorządowym Centrum Doskonalenia Zawodowego. Nauczyciele odpowiedzieli na pytania dotyczące swoich potrzeb edukacyjnych, preferowanych form oraz oczekiwanej tematyki doskonalenia zawodowego. Przeprowadzone badania umożliwiły pozyskanie wiedzy na temat potrzeb szkoleniowych tej grupy nauczycieli oraz przyczynią się do opracowania oferty odpowiadającej ich preferencjom.

Kompetencje cyfrowe odgrywają kluczową rolę we współczesnym społeczeństwie, oferując umiejętności niezbędne do efektywnego korzystania z technologii cyfrowych. Obejmują zarówno aspekty techniczne, takie jak obsługa komputerów, urządzeń mobilnych oraz oprogramowania, jak i umiejętności krytyczne, np. ocena wiarygodności informacji czy rozwiązywanie problemów. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono znaczenie oprogramowania typu CAD (Computer Aided Design) jako istotnego narzędzia w procesie edukacyjnym, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem jego wpływu na rozwój kompetencji cyfrowych i wspieranie celów zrównoważonego rozwoju. Oprogramowanie CAD, poprzez umożliwienie symulacji i projektowania cyfrowego, pozwala na zredukowanie kosztów i zużycia zasobów, co wpisuje się w globalne dążenia do ograniczenia negatywnego wpływu na środowisko naturalne. Celem artykułu jest podkreślenie roli dostępnych narzędzi edukacyjnych, które mogą być wykorzystane na różnych poziomach edukacji do budowania kompetencji technicznych i innowacyjnych, niezbędnych w erze cyfryzacji. Digital competences play a key role in today’s society, offering the skills necessary for effective use of digital technologies. They range from technical aspects, such as the use of computers, mobile devices and software, to critical skills, such as assessing the reliability of information or problem solving. This article outlines the importance of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software as an essential tool in the educational process, with a particular focus on its impact on the development of digital competences and the promotion of sustainable development goals. CAD software, by enabling simulation and digital design, reduces costs and resource consumption, which fits in with global efforts to reduce negative environmental impacts. The aim of this article is to highlight the role of available educational tools that can be used at different levels of education to build the technical and innovative competences needed in the digital age. The most popular free tool at the moment, FreCad , will be used as an example. The article is an introduction to a deeper analysis and discussion in the broader context of restoring the ethos of the technical professions and increasing the recognition of the importance of computer-assisted technical education.
