Rozumienie tekstu pisanego przez zdających egzamin certyfikatowy z języka polskiego jako obcego

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczących opanowania sprawności rozumienia tekstów pisanych przez zdających egzamin certyfikatowy z języka polskiego jako obcego na poziomie B2 w latach 2005–2008. Pierwsza część badania obejmowała analizę tekstów, zadań i całych testów czytania z egzaminu na poziomie B2. Materiał ten zestawiono z analogicznymi testami czytania z języka angielskiego i włoskiego. Analiza porównawcza ukazała zarówno podobieństwa między badanymi systemami, jak i rozwiązania specyficzne dla każdego z nich. Kluczową częścią badania była analiza ilościowa odpowiedzi udzielonych w części C przez zdających egzamin z języka polskiego; wybrane zadania zostały również przetestowane w grupie kontrolnej złożonej z polskich licealistów. Badanie wykazało, że stosunkowo trudne dla kandydatów były jednostki typu prawda/fałsz/brak informacji i na dobieranie. Problemy zdającym sprawiało też śledzenie spójności tekstów o skomplikowanej strukturze.

The article presents the results of doctoral research which investigated the reading ability of candidates taking the certification exam in Polish as a foreign language at the B2 level in the years 2005–2008. The first part of the analysis was concerned with texts, testing techniques and whole tests used in the exam at the B2 level. The Polish corpus was compared with analogous reading comprehension tests in English and Italian. The comparative study of the reading papers showed both similarities between the tests and solutions specific to each exam. A crucial part of the research was a quantitative analysis of answers given by the candidates in part C of the Polish exam; selected tasks were also tested in a control group comprised of Polish secondary school students. The research showed that two types of test items: true/false/not stated and matching information had appeared relatively difficult for the test takers. The candidates had also difficulty understanding text structure of more complex texts.

Wpływ badań tekstów mówionych na dobór materiałów do egzaminów certyfikatowych z języka polskiego jako obcego – bilans dziesięciolecia

W artykule przedstawione zostały badania tekstów mówionych przeznaczonych do testowania sprawności rozumienia ze słuchu w ramach egzaminów certyfikatowych z języka polskiego jako obcego na wybranym poziomie zaawansowania. Kryteria doboru tekstów opracowano na podstawie badań językoznawczych dotyczących polszczyzny mówionej i jej odmian, typów tekstów oraz teorii komunikacji. Badaniem objęto materiały testowe z lat 2006–2008 oraz testy najnowsze (z roku 2017). Perspektywa czasowa pozwala dostrzec, jakie zmiany zostały wprowadzone w procesie doboru tekstów do testowania sprawności słuchania ze zrozumieniem w ciągu ostatnich dziesięciu lat. Pozwala także wskazać, w jaki sposób badania językoznawcze wpływają na glottodydaktykę polonistyczną w jej praktycznym wymiarze.

The article recounts a study on spoken texts intended for testing listening comprehension in certificate examinations of Polish as a foreign language at selected levels. The criteria for selecting texts have been developed on the basis of linguistic research on spoken Polish and its varieties, text types and communication theories. The study covers materials used in the years 2006–2008 and in the most recent tests (2017). This time perspective makes it possible to observe the changes made in the process of selecting texts for testing aural comprehension over the past ten years. It further helps indicate how linguistic research influences languageeducation as part of Polish studies in its practical dimension.

The article contributes to the discussion regarding the state certificate Since the new legislation in 2015 was introduced, the number of for-eign sessions of the state certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign language has significantly decreased. The article aims to show the impact of the amended legal provisions on the availability of the certificate examinations outside of Poland and, consequently on the level of knowledge about them among potential candidates in Italy. The article is based on the results of the survey conducted by the au-thors among the students of Polish studies in Italy.
