The term entrepreneurship has been seen from a productive perspective, tending towards the development of business ideas. However, today it is also associated with the strengthening of skills and attitudes on a personal level. In Colombia, Law 1014 of 2006 regulates entrepreneurship as part of academic training, at all educational levels. Despite it being an initiative raised by the government, concrete actions on the subject are being directed by teachers in classrooms. For this reason, the views of high school teachers, through the lens of qualitative research, are essential for exploring the reality that education occupies in this aspect, and that increasingly highlights some obstacles which hinder its progress. Therefore, the aim of this article – immersed in the framework of a doctoral thesis about the practices of entrepreneurship among high school teachers in public schools in Bogotá – is to expose which actions have been aimed at integrating entrepreneurship into Colombian high school education from the experience of teachers, as well as to unveil their criticism of the absence of the entrepreneurial process from the first grades established in the law, the role of the National Service of Learning (SENA) as an important institution in Colombia related to entrepreneurship in the classrooms, the lack of a more human vision that is less focused on production in entrepreneurship education, and the huge gap in teacher training in the area.

W artykule zaprezentowano działania, które podejmowane są w Zakładzie Przedsiębiorczości i Gospodarki Przestrzennej Instytutu Geografii Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego w Krakowie na rzecz edukacji przedsiębiorczości i wskazują na dużą aktywność Zakładu w tym zakresie. Przedstawiono je na tle przesłanek powstania Zakładu i problematyki badawczej podejmowanej przez jego pracowników. Działania te związane są przede wszystkim z organizowaniem corocznych konferencji z zakresu przedsiębiorczości oraz zjazdów nauczycieli przedsiębiorczości, wydawaniem rocznika naukowego „Przedsiębiorczość – Edukacja”, wdrożeniem programów studiów oraz specjalności z zakresu przedsiębiorczości, w tym dla celów kształcenia i dokształcania nauczycieli, opracowywaniem programów i podręczników szkolnych oraz akademickich, analizowaniem i opracowywaniem propozycji zapisów podstawy programowej oraz podejmowaniem innych prac eksperckich na rzecz oświaty i rozwoju przedsiębiorczości, a także realizacji krajowych i międzynarodowych projektów badawczych i edukacyjnych. Efekty tej działalności, która ma w znacznej części charakter aplikacyjny, znalazły zastosowanie w praktyce szkolnej i akademickiej.

The article presents the activities undertaken at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Spatial Management, Institute of Geography, Pedagogical University of Cracow for entrepreneurship education. These are shown against the background and rationale of the Department creation and research issues carried out by its employees. These activities are mainly related to the organisation of annual conferences on entrepreneurship and conventions of entrepreneurship teachers, the issue of the scientific yearbook “Entrepreneurship – Education”, the implementation of study programs and specialisations in the field of entrepreneurship, including for the purposes of education and training of teachers, development of school curricula and textbooks, analysing and developing proposals for the core curriculum and undertaking other expert work for the education and development of entrepreneurship, as well as the implementation of national and international research and educational projects. Activities for entrepreneurship education outlined in the article indicate a high activity of the Department in this regard. Effects of this activity, which has in large part an application character, have been applied in school and academic practice
