W artykule dokonano porównania województw ze względu na stan gospodarki odpadami i stopień zanieczyszczenia środowiska naturalnego w Polsce. Ocenę tę przeprowadzono przy pomocy budowy rankingów województw. Rankingi zostały utworzone przy wykorzystaniu zmiennych syntetycznych powstałych w wyniku normalizacji zmiennych przy zastosowaniu metody unitaryzacji zerowanej (MUZ).

In this article, a comparison of current state of waste management in the Voivodeships has been conducted as well as the environmental contamination across Poland. This evaluation was conducted using computer-generated Voivodeships' rankings, which were created based on synthetic variable. The rankings were created using MUZ method.
