The article presents the characterisation of bone arrowheads from the Markowice 9 site in the Strzelno commune, Mogilno district, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The artefacts were subjected to a morphological analysis, their appearance, dimensions, state of preservation and the context of their discovery were described. In total nine specimens were recorded. In the course of typological comparisons, all the arrowheads were located in the horizon of the Lusatian culture, three of which correspond to type I, five to type II , and one to type IV according to A. Drzewicz classification. An important aspect of the article is the attempt to interpret the ornaments appearing on two of the described arrowheads. One of them bears decorations clearly related to the Lusatian culture ornamentation, but the second of the artefacts has an ornament style that does not match the characteristic mobile art of the period in question. The ‘animal’ ornament on bone tools is practically absent in the production of the Lusatian culture. The only one known, incomplete analogy to the ornament on the arrowhead from feature 1017 in Markowice, was made on a piece of antler from the Mesolithic site in Lower Silesia.
