Celem niniejszego artykułu jest prezentacja filozofii Andrzeja Nowickiego, głoszącego tezę o realnym istnieniu człowieka we własnych dziełach, a następnie krytyka owej tezy. Krytyka tezy ergantropijnej zamierza wykazać, że filozofia Nowickiego obfituje w paradoksalne konsekwencje, jak choćby w to, że wyrosła z marksizmu koncepcja zaczyna głosić hasło warunkowania bytu przez świadomość, że pozostawia ona biologiczny wymiar trwania niezrozumiałym i że może prowadzić do fałszowania przez ludzi obrazu samego siebie.

The purpose of this article is to present the philosophy of Andrzej Nowicki, which puts forth a theory of an actual existence of a man in his own works, and then to criticize that thesis. Criticism of ergantropical thesis intends to show that Nowicki’s philosophy is full of paradoxical consequences – such as the fact, that a conception which grew out of the Marxism begins to promote the idea of conditioning of being by awareness, leaving the biological dimension of our existence incomprehensible and leading to the distortion of one’s self-image.
