Teurgia światła. Wybrane zagadnienia mistyki światła w judaizmie

This article presents selected issues of light mysticism in the texts of medieval Kabbalah. First, the author focuses on the basic considerations that place this topic in the context of general anthropological and religious studies. Following that the description of the semantics of Hebrew light terminology, as well as notes on the concept of space and ether, and the function of meditation practice in early Kabbalah, serve as an introduction to the translation of relevant source texts by Azriel of Gerona (?) and Moshe de Leon illustrating the discussed issues. The article results in comments on problems and limitations of understanding and interpretation of the Kabbalistic sources.

Główną część artykułu stanowi prezentacja wybranych tekstów ze średniowiecznej kabały, opisujących fotyczny wymiar doświadczenia mistycznego. Poprzedzają ją uwagi dotyczące współczesnych interdyscyplinarnych badań nad fenomenem światła, w tym szczególnie danych z zakresu antropologii i porównawczej historii religii oraz językoznawstwa. W zakresie kabalistycznej teorii doświadczeń fotycznych omawiane są poglądy Możesza z Leonu i Józefa z Hamadanu. Przekład anonimowego traktatu Szaʿar ha-kawwanot le-mequbalim ha-riʾszonim [„Brama intencji przypisywana pierwszym kabalistom, błogosławiona ich pamięć”] oraz fragmentu dzieła Mojżesza z Leonu, Szeqel ha-Qodesz [„Waga świętości”] poprzedzono uwagami dotyczącymi problemów translatologii tekstów kabalistycznych. Artykuł zamykają sugestie dotyczące kluczowych kierunków dalszych badań nad zjawiskiem mistycznego fotyzmu w kabale.
