Poniższe studium stanowi próbę analizy oddziaływania muzyki na duszę ludzką i jej władze. Zagadnienie to nie stanowi szerokiego pola namysłu współczesnej muzykologii. Inne dziedziny wiedzy współczesnej również niezbyt często zajmują się rzeczywistością ludzkiej duszy, stąd panuje w tej materii znaczna, niemal totalna ignorancja. Prezentowane rozważania dążą do przynajmniej częściowej zmiany tej sytuacji. Bieżący artykuł stanowi pierwszą część szerszego studium; w części tej zostaną omówione filozoficzno-teologiczne podstawy nauczania o duszy ludzkiej. Wpływ muzyki na poszczególne władze duszy zostanie poddany analizie w następnych częściach rozważania.

The following study is an attempt to analyze the impact of music on the human soul and its faculties. This issue is not a broad field of reflection for contemporary musicology, just as other fields of contemporary knowledge do not often deal with the reality of the human soul; hence, there is considerable and almost universal ignorance in this matter. The presented considerations aim to at least partially change this situation. The current article is the first part of a larger study; this part will discuss the philosophical and theological foundations of teaching about the human soul. The influence of music on the specific faculties of the soul will be discussed in the following parts of the study.
