Niniejsze opracowanie poświęcone jest problemowi odkrywania wzorców na rynkach finansowych. Jest to zagadnienie wzbudzające gorące dyskusje metodologiczne oraz epistemologiczne. Dla praktyków oraz zwolenników eksploracji danych finansowych istnienie wzorców w danych finansowych jest zasadniczo oczywiste. Z kolei dla przeciwników możliwości identyfikacji wzorców rynkowych ich istnienie oznacza ekonomiczny „darmowy obiad”. Tak przeciwstawne stanowiska są motywacją dla rozważań z praktycznego, akademickiego i technicznego punktu widzenia.

This paper is addressed for problem with financial market pasterns exploration. The financial pattern phenomena rise the hot methodological and epistemological discussions. For practitioners and adherents of financial Data Mining their existence is natural and assumed as default. On other hand opponents say that existing of visible patterns directly provide to economic “free lunch”. Such opposite standpoints are motivations to practical, academic and technical considerations from different point of view.
