Turystyka kulinarna to dziedzina opierająca się na emocjach turystów bardziej, niż jakakolwiek inna. Turyści podążający za smakiem nie podróżują w próżni, tradycje kulinarne odczytywane są przez nich w otoczeniu obiektów i przedmiotów wytworzonych na przestrzeni wieków z myślą o produkcji żywności. Subiektywna przestrzeń pozwala zidentyfikować kulturowy kontekst doświadczeń kulinarnych. Ich obecność sprawia, że smakowanie tradycji kulinarnych jest bardziej wiarygodne.

Culinary tourism is more dependent on emotions of participants than other branches of tourism. Tourists that seek culinary impressions do not taste them in a vacuum. They experience them surrounded by objects and items manufactured throughout the ages with food production in mind. Subjective area allows to identify cultural context of culinary adventure. Its presence makes those experiences vastly more genuine.
