As a result of communalization of state property, local self-governments received significant areas of forests related territorially to the areas of cities and communes. The lack of, apart from a few exceptions, specialized organizational units to manage these areas causes a number of organizational problems. This article presents the problem of regulations the legal status of state forests by means of statutory solutions de lege ferenda.
