This article describes work part-time as a form of flexible employment. The author presents current statistical results in terms of the number of persons employed in the form of work in Poland and discuss the definition of part-time work in the context of Polish, European and international. The problems described in the text refers to the implementation of the principle of pro rata temporis in the context of part-time employment and discrimination against employees in the form of working time. This article presents also the employee's right to request a change of working time specified in the contract of employment.

Niniejszy artykuł opisuje pracę w niepełnym wymiarze czasu pracy jako jedną z form elastycznego zatrudnienia. W tekście przedstawiono aktualne wyniki statystyczne w zakresie liczby osób zatrudnionych w tej formie pracy w Polsce oraz omówiono definicję pracy w niepełnym wymiarze czasu pracy w kontekście prawa polskiego, europejskiego oraz międzynarodowego. Problematyka opisana w tekście dotyczy realizacji zasady pro rata temporis w kontekście zatrudnienia niepełnowymiarowego oraz przejawów dyskryminacji wobec pracowników zatrudnionych w tej formie czasu pracy. Artykuł przedstawia również prawo pracownika do złożenia wniosku o zmianę wymiaru czasu pracy określonego w umowie o pracę.
