O bitwie pod Ostrołęką 1831 na łamach „Płomyka” (1917–1939)

The article touches upon the subject of the Battle of Ostrołęka, which took place on 26 May 1831. This subject was presented on the pages of „Płomyk” – the most popular magazine addressed to young and adolescent readers in the Inter-war period. The subject was present in literary forms published by several writers cooperating with this magazine. The authors depicted the battle in various texts, being stylistically and formally diversified (articles, information pieces and scenic pictures). In this way, the authors fueled historical education of children and young learners. They adjusted the level of the material to young readers’ age, perception and intellectual abilities. The battle was mentioned on the occasion of important national holidays and in the utterances of regional character. Being in accordance with contemporary educational and literary trends, the texts served mainly cognitive and pedagogic aims.

Artykuł dotyczy obecności tematyki związanej z bitwą pod Ostrołęką z 26 maja 1831 roku na łamach „Płomyka” – najpopularniejszego w dwudziestoleciu międzywojennym pisma adresowanego do dziecięco-młodzieżowego odbiorcy. Temat ten podejmowało kilkunastu współpracowników pisma w zróżnicowanych stylistycznie i formalnie tekstach publicystycznych, literackich, informacyjnych oraz w obrazkach scenicznych. Dbano w ten sposób o edukację historyczną dzieci i młodzieży, dostosowując materiał rzeczowy pisma do wieku i możliwości percepcyjnych i intelektualnych młodych czytelników. Bitwę przypominano z okazji ważnych rocznic narodowych oraz w wypowiedziach o charakterze regionalnym. Zgodnie z ówczesnymi tendencjami w pedagogice i literaturze teksty te służyły głównie celom poznawczym i wychowawczym.
