The concept of geodiversity is becoming more widely used every year, beyond its contribution to the development of geotourism. It is estimated that geodiversity is as important as biodiversity in the functioning of Earth’s natural ecosystems. Therefore, an important problem is to recognize the possibilities on integrating geodiversity in geographic education, both formal and informal. The main aim of the study is to identify the subject of educating godiversity, included in the core curricula in Spain and Canary Islands and to identify the forms, didactic tools and methods of geodiversity education existed in selected national, natural parks and geoparks of Canary Islands. The study has shown that the application of geodiversity in educational practice is still unsettled.

The political destabilization in the Middle East has caused such a significant wave of migration to European countries, that the situation has evolved into a migration crisis. Research on the awareness and opinions on mass migration conducted among a selected group of Polish youth show how differentiated attitudes are – from moderately positive to extremely negative. At the same time, almost everyone signaled that schools’ engagement in providing students with solid knowledge on migration was insufficient. In this context, this paper discusses the importance of taking account of students’ opinions in the planning of educational processes. If schools are to influence the attitudes of the young, they should create a space for dialogue and for students to express their opinions and values. Such activities, together with solid knowledge, will allow educational and pedagogical objectives to be reached.

Remote learning has had over 200 years of history during which the definition of remote learning has changed. Technological development resulted in the emergence of new didactic tools and aids as well as teaching methods used in this form of teaching. The unexpected proliferation of remote education on a global scale in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic meant that it can be considered a specific critical event in education. It has brought about major changes in the teaching-learning strategy for both students and teachers. The aim of the article is to characterize the changes that took place in remote education in the years 1900-2022, including, first of all, the evolution of definitions, methods and didactic means. The article is the result of studying literature upon remote learning, also in the context of teaching Geography. A literature review revealed a gap in research studies on remote education. New circumstances in the school reality resulting from the pandemic and technological progress have exposed and strengthened the need to urgently fill the indicated gap.
