W artykule zaprezentowano innowacyjne rozwiązania opracowane i wdrożone na Wydziale Humanistycznym US w ramach prowadzonej edukacji gerontologicznej. Skoncentrowano się na kilku obszarach: 1.) Promowanie humanistycznego podejścia do starzenia się i starości człowieka – rozwój idei Humanistyka wobec starości w duchu integracji pokoleń; 2.) Edukacja gerontologiczna w ramach konferencji naukowych z cyklu Świat (nie) przyjazny starości. 3.) Współpraca z UTW w województwie zachodniopomorskim i wzmacnianie ich pozycji w regionie poprzez edukację. 4.) Edukacja seniorów w Szczecinie. Celem artykułu jest promocja dobrych praktyk w zakresie współpracy Wydziału Humanistycznego ze środowiskiem lokalnym, ukazanie roli szkoły wyższej w przekształcaniu rzeczywistości społecznej z myślą o tworzeniu warunków do godnego przeżywania starości.

The paper presents innovative solutions developed and implemented at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Szczecin within the framework of gerontological education. The paper focuses on he following areas: 1.) Promoting humanist approach to human ageing and old age - development of the idea Humanities in relation to old age in a spirit of integration of generations, 2.) Gerontological education as a part of a series of scientific conferences A world (un)friendly for old people. 3.) Cooperation with UTA in Zachodniopomorskie region and improving regional empowerment through education. 4.) Education for older adults in Szczecin. The aim of the paper is to promote good practices in terms of cooperation of the Faculty of Humanities with the local community, demonstrating the role of a university in transformation of social reality with the aim of creating conditions to have a decent old age.

W artykule omówione zostały wybrane zagadnienia gerontologii edukacyjnej (geragogiki) jako subdyscypliny pedagogicznej. Poddano analizom edukację gerontologiczną, wyróżniono cztery zakresy uczenia się starości.

Selected problems of educational gerontology (geragogy) were discussed in the article as pedagogical subdiscipline. Gerontological education was analysed and four scopes of learning old age were distinguished.
