Prezentuje wzory stosowane w mazerunku ludowym na przykładzie między innymi zbiorów Muzeum Wsi Radomskiej i opisuje wygląd mazerowania na boazeriach, kasetonach i stolarce drzwiowej w Pałacu Jana III Sobieskiego w Wilanowie. Omawia stosowane techniki wykonania fladrowania, rodzaje farb oraz ich kolory.

The article contains information on the wood graining technique. It discusses the history and the difference between the various furniture craftsmanship facilities that worked using this technique. It describes the patterns used in folk graining as exemplified by Radom Village Museum and the appearance of wood graining on panelling, coffering and door frame woodwork in King John III Sobieski’s Palace at Wilanow. One can find here a discussion on graining techniques, types of paint and its colours.

Komoda pochodzi ze wsi Goleszów położonej na Śląsku Cieszyńskim, a obecnie należy do zbiorów Muzeum „Górnośląski Park Etnograficzny w Chorzowie”. Artykuł opisuje temat konserwacji i restauracji komody, dodatkowo podejmuje próbę ustalenia historii i pochodzenia owego mebla. Poza opisami prac konserwatorskich przedstawiono technikę i technologię wykonania mazerunku, który występuje w dwóch odmianach. Pierwszy to mazerunek wykonany na zasadzie stempla lub nadruku, kolejny – poprzez swobodne malowanie pędzlem.

The chest of drawers comes from the village of Goleszów located in Cieszyn Silesia, and currently belongs to the collection of the Museum “Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzów”. The article describes the subject of preservation and restoration of a chest of drawers, and also attempts to establish the history and origin of this piece of furniture. Apart from the descriptions of the preservation works, the technique and technology of making the graining, which comes in two varieties, are presented. The first is a lining made on the basis of a stamp or print, whereas the second one is made by loose painting with a brush.
