This article presents and briefly discusses silk clothing fabrics from the early 18th century to until the 1760s. when the chinoiserie style was developed in European art and craft as a result of the import of goods from East Asia by European trading companies in the 17th and the 18th centuries. The article describes and analyses both artistic and technical problems based on five silk fabrics from the author's private collection, great examples of different stages of the chinoiserie style in a fabric design.

W artykule zaprezentowano i krótko omówiono temat jedwabnych tkanin odzieżowych od początku XVIII w. do lat sześćdziesiątych XVIII w. w stylu chinoiserie, który wykształcił się w europejskim rzemiośle artystycznym w wyniku importu towarów ze Wschodniej Azji przez europejskie kompanie handlowe w XVII i XVIII w. W artykule pokazano i opisano od strony artystyczno-technicznej pięć tkanin jedwabnych, z kolekcji autora, będących przykładami różnych etapów ewolucji europejskiego wzornictwa w stylu chinoiserie.
